Hei!

I'm in the process of buying a Panda.
Should i go for the automatic climate control, or are the controls on the manual unit good enough?

thanks!

If you're thinking of keeping the car once the warranty has run out, then be aware that there is a known weakness with the plastic flap actuator buried inside the ACC unit (at least on 500's and the Panda 169; I've no reason to believe the current model is any different). Repair is unbelievably complicated and expensive and separate parts are not available.

Personally I'd go for the manual A/C, which does not suffer from this issue.

Maybe I'm old fashioned but I actually prefer dials. The ones in the Panda are quite chunky and fall readily to hand, especially in 3rd and 5th gears. Better than fiddling around in a darkened cab pushing buttons, IMHO.

Yes i intend to keep it for a long time and didn't know that! thanks, i'll stick it the manual :worship:

Yes, generally i like to keep things simple as well but i was considering it as it's not that expensive. But not anymore!

I have the automatic climate control in my current Panda, had the manual in my previous.

The automatic only makes sense if you drive in varying climates for extended periods of time. Even then, it's only because you can set a temp, hit the auto button, and end any in-car discussion with other people about how to adjust the cabin temp. I'd go for the manual if I had the choice.

The ACC in mine is (and always has been) pants. I routinely stop half-way through my regular 65-mile commute for a quick raid on Sainsburys, and in winter on the second part of the journey I freeze, unless I manually increase the temp by 3-4 degrees - which rather defeats the object of having CC. Mr Fiat says No Fault Found. My ar*e.

Agree 100%

Previously had a manual AC Panda and that was much more controllable.

It sound's like your ACC need a calibration/reset through OBD.
I had mine done and it works perfect. :D

After this winter add winter pack. Tinted rears look good with white.

Has the Panda 319 ever been available with climate control in the UK? My friend has an early TwinAir Lounge, and that has manual temperature controls.

Yes. It still is.

More common on the Cross models though we have it on our 2017 Lounge along with the winter pack (heated screen/seats/mirrors).

I find it very amusing that, although sun doesn't really shine that much in the UK, you guys have a strong passion for roadsters
