Technical Where to buy TA oil from

Where is the best/cheapest place to buy the Selenia Digitek 0W-30 Twin Air engines oil from? I'm hoping you folk have got some advice from your own experiences of buying the oil, either on-line or from a high street retail supplier, as to where the best place is. The Fiat dealer that I bought my TA from very unhelpfully changed franchises a few months after I bought the car so I don't think I can go back there for the oil, and in any case, is a Fiat dealer the cheapest place or will I be paying over the odds? Any advice as to reliable online outlets?

I could top up with another brand of 0W-30 oil I guess but as it is still under warranty I thought I had better stick to the 'proper' stuff.

My TA has used about 2/3rds from the top to bottom marker on the dip stick in 9 months and 5000 miles - is this normal for a brand new TA or should I be asking questions under the basis of the warranty?

Unless carefully BROKEN IN They can use oil..
Yours is well within service limits.

My experience suggests that, if broken in carefully, they should use virtually no oil.

This is EXCACT the same oil, from the same scource.
Petronas labels a small amount of this oil as Selenia Digitek P.U. 0W30, but again it's the same oil, same specs, everything....

OK, so its probably me, but where do you make donations? - I've looked at every link across the top of the website and can't see one that mentions making donations.

I think it's 10%.
Shop4 charge postage and it can often work out expensive even with the discount.

Ebay might be a better bet or there are a few alfa specialist online the sell the stuff too.

Petronas is a Malaysian company founded in 1974. They have been making Selenia oils for Fiat since 2008 I believe and are now the parent company, see:

Surely other manufacturers make oil of the same spec as Petronas. All car engine oils have to confirm to European and US specs. SAE & ACEA if I'm not mistaken.

I'm certain that is the wrong spec for the TA. Your photo shows a C3 10w 40 that is for the 1.2 Fire engine which specifies a low saps oil. The TA is a C2 I believe. Plus it should be 0w 30.

Yes trev..but some are differant mines on a 61 plate so runs the older spec oil.. this type of thread has been for ever now...

You are right Phil.
Only the lower NA TA specifies a C2 oil. 5W-40 should be OK but it was changed to 0w-30 I believe on later engines.
