I don't understand why there are comments about the supposed unreliability and complexity of the TA engine. I follow the Panda (2012) threads, so don't pick up the 500 TA comments, but I don't remember seeing anything that suggests the TA gives problems. My 4x4 TA is approaching 60,000 miles with no issues. My wife has 1.2 and I was struck by how smooth it is when I drove it for a distance a while ago, though I hadn't noticed that the TA was rough. However, the TA is in a different league for performance, especially when the car is carrying any load, and on long journeys. Nothing wrong with the 1.2 - but nothing wrong with the TA either - and I wouldn't go back to a 1.2 for my own car.
