Styling Who is running 17 inch wheels

I think a lot of it depends on the style of the wheel. And maybe the colour of the car and wheels as well ;)
The 16" O.Z.'s I run now still look small.
I collected the wheels today and will get tires for them end of the year.
I'm now torn between General Altima Sport and Uniroyal Rain Sport 3(both owned by Continental and both worked fine on friends Fuesta's with 125hp) as a cheaper option to Michelin Pilot Sport 3 and Continental Premium Contact 6. The Uniroyal is very good in the wet and has a rather nice looking thread patern.
The first two, would certainly not my choice, either does the second two.
In the mid-range tires i would choose the Vredestein Sportrac 5.
Premium-Range i would choose Dunlop or Goodyear.

The Vredestein Sportrac 5 diesn't seem to come in the 205/40r17 size. The Generals are to big of a compromize after some reading so I won't go for those after all.
I had Good Years under a Focus Rally edition (2.0 150bhp) and didn't like them at all.
The best tire for me right now seems to be the Uniroyal Rain Sport 3 wich has excellent dry and wet braking performance and lot's of possitive user reviews.
It all comes down to the price. If the premium contacts are cheap enough I certainly get those and if not the Uniroyals look like a good contender. I will also ask for a quote on those Dunlops as I do like their tires.

No it does not, my mistake. :(

The "Vredestein Ultrac Satin" does.

Still think 17" is to big for a Panda. :D
I do like the look of the 17's on this white Panda and they are quite similar style too the Tec wheels I have. He's running the 195/40r17 wich does look pretty good and I can get the Vredestein Sporttrac 5 in that size. Circumference wise this size is also a lot closer to the original 185/55r15.

I'm not shure if the pictures show in my previous post so here they are again:

Yes, I know "Tussi", it's a Panda 1.2 Pop tuned to 80 hp, Novitec lowered, 7x17" ATS wheels with 195/40 17 Tires.
I knew you knew, but I do think this style of wheel looks good in 17" on the Panda ;) .
Tussi would have looked perfect if the wheels where exactly color matched to the white of the car. Probably in real life it won't show as much as in pictures.

The Vredestein Sporttrac 5 looks interesting, don't know how it drives, especially in the wet.

Personal i think this is the best looking 17" wheel for the Panda, Minus the Abarth centre caps. ;)

The only problem with these wheels is the high ET38. (offset)
@ the front it's not a problem with 205/40R17" tires but in the back it's rubbing on the inside.
They need about a 8mm spacers @ the rear to compensate back to ET30, or a 195/40R17" tire to clear at the back on the inside.

In case of a 195/40R17" tire i would probably choose the Dunlop Sport Maxx RT, maybe a bit more expensive compare to others, but certainly a much better tire, IMHO. ;)

7Jx17" Abarth's would look like this on mine. :D

Yes those wheels are nice but I don't like the look of them on the Panda. It makes the Panda look more bulky compared to the multispoke wheels on "Tussi"
All a mather of personal taste of course (y)
With the et35 on the Tec wheels I hope the 205's will be fine(all though it also depends on the backspacing), but if not a 3mm spacer in the rear shurely will solve any rubbing problems.
Tires are going to be Continental Premium Contact 6, it only makes a difference of a 100 euro's between these and the cheaper options so not worth going that route.
Also the Conti tires are quite small for there size if I understand correctly so they should be pretty flush with the rim.
