Technical Manual climate control button not working properly

Hi. I have a Fiat Panda 2017 model and the manual climate control button will not turn and I have to push it in and then turn it.....to activate the air con is when you should press it in which doesn’t work. To just use the normal air flow for heating for example you should just be able to turn it but from ‘0’ it just wont budge....anyone ever had this problem and if so how did they fix it?
