Hi Folks. I have a 2013 Panda, and i need to change the bulb behind the heater control. How do i go about it? Do i need to remove the dials first or just prise it all up? Your help would be most appreciated before i damage something:) Thank you

I can help you here, having just done mine! I made a 'how to' guide for the old Panda, and some of that still applies. But some differences - don't try to pull the control knobs off - they won't. And the plastic trim is very much more firmly clipped in place.

So, see the guide but read on down here first:

Carefully (I used my finder nails) pry the bottom edge of the black trim around the controls away from the coloured dash. You won't get far, but enough to get a large, flat screwdriver into the gap to lever rather more. Wrap the screwdriver in a duster to prevent damage to the dash trim Or use something like these) , and with a good old push to lever the black part away, it will eventually spring out, bringing the control knobs with it.

Now follow my guide, as the bulb removal and replacement is the same.

Once done (and check the new bulb works before doing this) push the trim piece back on - it will go with a reassuring 'clunk' as the various clips all go back into place.

Funny how these thing all come around at the same time, my 169 MJ Panda and my wifes 319 Antartica both needed the same dash bulb replacing. Had done the 169 before, but not the 319 and I could not figure out why the knobs weren't coming off :)
Thanks for the clarity and guidance - much appreciated!

One of the heater control bulbs has just gone on out ‘66 Panda.
Seems a mighty short time.

Any thoughts on fitting LED bulbs instead?

Thanks
Steve

Friend changed bulb on ventilation dial after found him some pics of the trim and where clips are (simply using ebay secondhand part ad).

Got trim off with a slim paint scraper with a cloth round. And pliers to get bulb out. Bulb a R286 1.2v. Available at Halfords for a £1. 2 current main dealers and 2 ex ones refused to even attempt it. No idea why, sub 15 mins job, no tools, scared of breaking something?!
