Hi all,

So first post and a happy one. Just bought a secondhand Yellow Panda Cross - 3 years old, 13k on the clock for just shy of 8k. Impulse buy since i've been eyeing up a Cross for awhile as a run around\short commute car for the Highlands of Scotland.

Bought in Leeds and shipped last Friday to Inverness. We needed a wee runabout and something to get either my wife or I to work. We have a Jeep Wrangler, a very very capable off-roader but that left us with one of us commuting in a expensive campervan, soemthing neither of us fancied commuting in and parking up in winter conditions, so hence 'Bumble Bee' has arrived and joined our fleet:D

I used to have an Mazda RX8 rotary and I'm pleasantly surprised that the twinair kinda reminds me a bit of a rotary. Bought 'Bumble' for it's snow and winter capabilities but hey, what a surprise to find it's a fun car.

Dunno if the dealer price was expensive or not but 13k on the clock aint bad and it's in really good nick apart from the air-con which doesn't appear to be working right and funny noise from centre dashboard area, have 60 days warranty so will get them to look at that. Still, it was a Cross or a 'normal' 2 wheel Fiesta type car and I know which I'd take....(y)

Roll on the snow and we will take it out to where we usually take the Jeep, see how Bumble performs.

Welcome. Lot of car for the money and should be perfect for you. I had no mechanical issues with my just gone TA 4x4. Look forward to some pictures if we get some snow.

Good luck with the warranty.
When I wanted any warranty work done very shortly after buying our 4x4 the Fiat Dealer in Bridport wanted me to go back to them for the work a 300 mile round trip completely denying the warranty arrangement told to us by the salesman that we could use our local (80miles round trip) Fiat Dealer.

Well the car is in at the local dealers next Friday and the Leeds branch whom supplied the vehicle are happy for the local dealer to charge them back for any warranty work, so should be ok unless it's not covered (which it should be being the A\C).

Just to update everyone. The aircon was fixed it turned out to only require refilling, free of charge and under warranty.

I have asked about the back brake modification and awaiting Leeds to authorise that to, apparently my car is not on the 'chassis' list but it defo does not have the damper\mod fitted.

If you choose not to have the mod, brake clean and grease to stop the noise from someone you trust around £40 and noise should go for around 8 months. You may still hear in heavy rain though. Mechanic sorted problem where with all 4 wheels in the air wouldn't spin at the same rate. So that was good.
