Any ideas for our panda customization?
What have you done at yours?

First thing I am going to do at my Panda, is to get some LEDs to fit the interior. I will post some photos soon.

Hi ..i keep mine factory standard and wash and wax once a week.i use OEM parts for servicing. The only thing thats no standard is the spare wheel as bought one with jack and brace on the net. As i dont like the tyre foam supplied. To replace a working part with a another one to me aint worth it..just my thoughts..

Yep, always have a spare wheel instead of that useless tire foam solution. ;)

Hi.
At the end of the day its "your" car and it's a person's choice what they do to it, we are not all the same and we have differing thoughts what makes a car a nice place to be.
So far I have done these things to my Panda and like what I have done and feel the work has enhanced it.
Spacesaver wheel and tools.
Rear bumper protector.
Homemade shut panel for behind n/s centre console.
AUX input for stereo.
LED interior lights.
Carpet on back of rear seat.
Lined glove box.
Lined door pockets.
More sound deadening and carpets on exposed interior metalwork.
LED DRL/Side lamps & number plate.
Sill kick plates.
Oil catch tank.
Extensive Waxoyling, removal of mud and debris from vulnerable areas, rear beam given particular attention along with other powder coated parts.

To do.......
Osram night breaker + H4 Bulbs.
Possible remap.
Stainless exhaust..... Eventually.

Done!

So far I,ve put a K&N panel air filter in. Got some team heko wind deflectors, tinted the windows and lights (20%).

Added a exhaust tip from halfords until I get a ulter sports backbox.

I'm about to plasti dip the hubcaps black until I get some alloys and I've just been looking at the short aerial upgrade.

Hello MyKeyDB. This is an old thread - but who cares!

Nice shine you have on that car - white and silver are notably difficult to make look shiny. I use Colinite 845 wax.

Looks like you're missing some 'FIAT Forum' window stickers too :D

Not a great photo, but this was my aerial upgrade...

Love the panda aerial!

My mum got me the greased lightning car cleaner and it works really well for the price and convenience

Just managed to plasti dip the hub caps and get the shorter aerial.

Where do I get the stickers from? :)

Just a point on the short aerial - it looks great but doesn't perform nearly as well as a standard one.

I recently returned mine to original spec, but influenced by the Italian flag on the stumpy aerial I modified an original to be similar using heatshirink :)

Did you get a spacesaver wheel or full size. And is your Panda a 4x4?
I have a 4x4, the dealer says the spacesaver wheel is not available for this model but the handbook quotes "Spacesaver 125/80 R15 95M."
I recall there has been a lot of comment on this site about 4X4 and spacesavers but was any definite conclusion reached about their suitability or otherwise.?

4x4 *can* use a spacesaver, but it is different to the non 4x4 Pandas. As your handbook says, it is a 15" wheel - the 2WD Pandas use a 14" space saver. Note also the jack is different (because the car sits higher off the ground) - so the standard Panda jack will not work. The correct jack is marked 'Panda 4x4 and Qubo' (or Doblo) - and will not fit inside the spare wheel in the boot. Mine came with one from new (it was an option at the time of ordering), but it seems to be tricky to buy from Fiat as a spare part. The electronics of the 4x4 system can (apparently) tell when a space saver is being used, and reduces the amount of 4 wheel drive available while it is fitted. This used to be described in earlier version if the handbook, but seems to be missing from the latest edit.

At least one of the earlier threads on this subject is here: https://www.fiatforum.com/panda-iii/329490-panda-4x4-toolkit-5.html?p=4199685

Phils panda's eBay wheel and jack will not fit a 4x4 car - owing to the larger front disc size on the 4x4.

Thanks HH. I have ordered a 125/80 R15 spacesaver wheel with tyre from The Wheel Co at £69,free delivery should be tomorrow I already have a jack which fits the jacking point of the 4x4 and lifts it far enough. Have had it years and no idea what it came from now. I also already have a long bar with a sliding 1/2 in square drive and simply add a 17mm socket. In addition I have stuck in the boot a tubeless tyre repair kit which was with a previous bike so I should be ready for anything without having to resort to the "pump and gunge" which came with the car.
Incidentally the wheel supplier made no mention of "M95", so as soon as it arrives I shall be jacking up the car, and fitting the wheel to see if everything is OK, clearing the disc etc etc
In any event thanks for your input and watch this space

The ‘95M’ refers to the load and speed rating of the tyre, not the wheel size. (And is why the spare is only safe to 50mph/80km/h)
The crucial thing is the wheel nut spacing. This is measured by the diameter of a circle that passes through the bolt hole centres (the PCD). For the Panda this is an uncommon size of 98mm (most 4 stud wheels are 100mm PCD, which doesn’t fit properly)

Thanks HH. I have just written a long explanation of my saga with the new spacesaver wheel and my computer has sent it to outer cyberspace not the Forum!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
Anyway to cut a long saga short can anyone tell me the torque setting, in foot/pounds please that's the only scale my old torque wrench knows, for wheel bolts on alloy wheeled 4x4 Thanks in advance.
When I've stopped weeping into my coffee I may have another go at telling you the whole story!
