I was taken to school in an original Fiat 500, learnt to drive on a Fiat 127 1050CL - great drive apart from the awful gear change.

My own cars:-

Renault 12TS
Citroen 2CV
Vauxhall Astra Mk 1

Fiat Panda 1000S with fabric sunroof!
Citroen 2CV
Fiat Uno 1.4 ie

Fiesta Zetec S Mk 6
Toyota Aygo
Renault Twingo 1.2 TCe GT
Toyota Aygo
Fiat 500 S 105TA
Fiat Panda 4x4 TA

As you see I've always preferred small cars with plenty of character.
I've really liked nearly all the cars I've owned - I should do as I spend enough time researching them. Notable exceptions were the Vauxhall Astra (rattles, vibrations and very unreliable), and the first model Punto. The Punto was duller than any Fiat I've had before or since - a low end model. But at introduction it had class leading interior room, and this was needed for a young family. After that we went two-cars with my wife driving the larger one - (Scenics, Qubo, Note).

Hi AlD i forgot to mention my Renault Clio 1.2 Grande. Complete @#$£ foot wells more like swimming pools all the time. Invested in a wet and dry Vax.Dogged the electricals. HAD IT 6 WEEKS THEN SCRAPPED IT.

Hi.
Two cars I forgot that no doubt due to them being terrible I eradicated them from my memory.
A 6 month old Yugo 45S, leaked like it had no roof, was dreadfully slow, noisy and a horrible driving position. I swerved a couple of months later to avoid an accident and the car rolled 5 times down an embankment and landed up right. I was totally unhurt not even a scratch, probably the cars saving grace. I was then bombarded with an angry farmer wanting the £50 to tow the car off his field. Well it started and I drove it out of his field to his total amazement. The 5 mile drive home with the front screen in the back and two other broken windows in winter plus the steering pulling like hell was a nightmare. The car was a write off but I kept it and sold off the engine and gearbox and other salvageable parts. I was glad to see it go but I needed an interim car. I bought a Fiat 127 for £30 It got me to work for three weeks but it was so rusty that you could see the light coming in between the floor and sills and it was none to sure footed on the road.
So I'd put both down as my worst cars ever.

Hi trev wharever happen to the yugo brand..I remember seeing a poster at a dealer saying " you can with a yugo" its like the Lada brand as well... when i lived in Hull their was a lot of Lada Riva mini cabs.. I also remember a car scrapper near the docks in hull importing lada for spares.

Lada is actually still on the go. I remember when Lada fell out of favour the Russians would buy up cars from here, most likely for spares. Yugo were known as Zastava and were mainly all Fiat based they did versions of the 128 and the 45 used 127 mechanicals and the 903cc engine. Funny the Yugo engine was dead in comparison to the same engine in the 127.
Info here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiat_Automobili_Srbija

My list is a little shorter but here goes....

E plate Yugo 45s
G plate Rover 216
H plate Peugeot 205 diesel
T plate Peugeot 106 diesel
51 plate Citroen Berlingo Multispace
And now 56 plate Doblo

The yugo was reliable well it had nothing to go wrong on it. Scrapped it as the exhaust was shot and would cost more than it was worth. The Berlingo was crazily reliable but so flat to drive.
When clear of DPF issues the Doblo is a much nicer drive.

It's a memory test:
DAF 44 Kept 6 months, repalced only because the 66 presented itself.
DAF 66 At least 3 years of brisk automatic fun.
Morris Marina 1.8 bought at 98,000, ran until 130,000, very reliable.
Morris Marina 1.7 Auto. Sadly, previously owned by an uncaring builder, needed maintenance every 3-4 weeks. Scrapped after a year.
Fiat 131 Mirafiori 1600 ohv Auto. Absolutely brilliant from 27k to 105k. Still miss it.
Fiat Argenta 2000 Auto. Loved it, but with the turning circle of a supertanker, got fed up with it.
Fiat Panda 750 Fantasia. 34hp, overtakes need notice in writing. 45,000 miles in two years.
Fiat Panda 1.0 CLX. Luxury upgrade! Fuel injection and 5 gears. 88k in 4 yrs.
Fiat Seicento Suite. 1.1 with Aircon. Bought new, 85k in 3.5 years.
Fiat Punto mk2 1.2 16v CVT Auto. Miss that one too.
Big gap with only the driving school cars, Corsa, then Fiat 500.
Panda Alessi. Since early 2010.
(Oh, and a succession of AA Driving School Fiestas - horrid, but do the job.)

Wow, never knew some of you could own so many cars!

I'm now 40 and here it goes:

Vauxhall Nova 1.2 (old banger was given to me but it lasted a month)
Citroen AX 1.1 - 2 years
Ford Fiesta 1.25 Zetec (MK4?) - 5 years
Ford Mondeo MK3 2.0 TDDI - Ahem, almost 11 years owning it! It was 13 half years old when I sold it with over 225K on clock
Fiat Panda 1.2 Easy (2 years)
Fiat Tipo 1.4 95 HP (had to upgrade due to growing family)

I have to say that Panda is one of my favourite car to own and drive.
