Hi i have a 85TA and when i get to 75-80 Mph.I get a noise like a thrumming and strange feeling through the pedals.I would say drive shafts but it is smooth up to the said speed. All the stick on wheel weights are their .(meaning no signs of missing weights.) So i thought loose under tray but... no all screw bolts secure so iam at a lose on this one.. Any ideas..

The cheapest and first diagnostic t check is tyre pressures, which I assumed you had already done with tyres stone cold and checked bolts.
The second is have all wheels rebalanced, they may have weights on already but tyres go out of balance over time due to wear.
Until you have done this there is no point in looking elsewhere.

20170422_185134.jpg]]Ok so i went to tyre place and i got 2 TOYO 185 55R 15 82V PXT1_R tyres with four wheel balancing and
Laser tracking.. .The front OE Goodyears were on the limit at 30720 miles.Problem solved..Credit card hit
Badly...lol.

Glad to have helped.

That's extremely good mileage out of original pair of tyres.

Drive safe.

Yes thats what i was thinking ....do you have more tread on the front to dispurse deep water or vice verser
The rear OE Good years are still like new after 30720 miles.

I have 4 new tires on, less then 2000 miles used. ;)
Further the engine is in the front, so enough front wheel compression on the road to dispurse deep water.
The reason i would change them around front-rear is age of the Goodyear's versus new Toyo's.
By the time you wear down the Toyo's again, the rear Goodyear will be much older again.
So jungest tire at the rear older tire at the front. :D

Toyo good choice Phil. Very long lasting, very grippy and softer rubber which could help in cold weather too. Recently revised for wet braking rating. Good value too.

The chap in the tyre shop said "i have a budget unknow brand or Toyo Proxes for £2.00 more.." at £53.00
A no brainer really. Got a bit stung for balancing and lazer aline..

Hi.
The "experts" used to say put the best tyres on the front on FWD cars, now its advised to put the best on the back. I suppose there is more weight on the front so less tread will be compensated with more weight so it does make common sense to have the best on the back. At 20,000 miles I think my fronts will be good for just about 30.000 miles, the rears are hardly worn.

Just a thought going back to the original query - you could have tried doing the same speed in fourth gear to make sure that the vibration was wheel related rather than to do with the engine.
