On the diesels the coiled pipe wasn't effective enough (on some individual cars) so the damper was introduced and retrofitted for some owners who made enough fuss.
Thanks for the fiat Daly's link .
Unfortunately the drawings on the parts diagrams are often inaccurate and cannot be relied upon.

I think Tony at the factory had one too many Friday lunchtime before assembling Phil's car, if Tony is readings this I'll bet he is laughing himself silly with all the fuss it has caused.

Does yours have a clutch damper..
Lets see if we can identifi the members twinairs with a damper...
I've got a twin air (2016) and I've got one of those. I can see it quite clearly - on the passenger side (LHS) just in front of the front wheel. You don't need to take the wheel off to see it - it's quite big.

Thankyou ...yours looks cleaner than mine.So not just on first issue car then..
Do you think something screws into it as mine has a screw thread?

Perhaps to screw in a bleed nipple??????
Or possibly this has a pneumatic section that may need 're pressuring or it's how they do it in the factory, all quite odd.

This is a picture of inside the cap. As you can see there's some corrosion on the surface. Can't see a screw thread though. It's very exposed to the elements whatever it is!
