Hi,
just a quick question about my Panda TA. How do you reset the oil/service indicator on the dash ?
Can't seem to do it through the menu, many thanks.

This is the kind of thing a main dealer would charge for. Can I ask how many miles to go on the display, as mine wasn't reset in 2015 before I got and it's just been counting down from 18000. You have to go looking for the display. Not something that comes up every time you switch on normally that would drive anyone mad.

Hi, yes 281 miles to go I think or is it counting up by 281 miles ?

Am curious what will happen when it reads zero: This video shows how it will be reset, either by private owner, independent garage or Fiat dealer. Some very knowledgeable people on here can advise on buying the programme and leads.

A Ta is petrol so this would be enough. For those with a dpf fitted diesel this software will also do the job but you must also reset the dpf oil degradation counter in the engine ecu. Easy to do, just don't forget. Some indie garages apparently don't do this either.

Hi,
You need a PC (laptop or notepad), a registered copy of Multiecuscan (€50) www.multiecuscan.net and an ELM 327 or similar interface lead.e.g. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271275445368 (£15) I've used this seller.
You can also use AlfaOBD.
Most garages won't reset the service indicator unless they did the service for legal reasons. If you are near Cambridge I can do it for you.

HTH,
Robert G8RPI.

Thanks Robert, I suspected I would need to reset via the ECU. Will get on to my mechanic who has a multiecuscan unit as Devon quite a trip from your good self. Thanks for the offer though.
