Morning,

Does the Panda have one? It was -1.5 deg this morning but I didn't get the Ice on road warning.

Perhaps I'm getting confused after years in Fiats & Alfas but I though it pinged up when the outside temperature drops to +3deg:confused:

Any thoughts?

Ta,

Simon

I'd have thought it was model/year dependent.

My 2010 500 lounge has one, my 2010 Panda dynamic does not.

That said, you'd expect the car to be able to display an ice warning if it also had an outside temperature display.

On my 500 sometimes I get the snowflake symbol on its own and sometimes it's with the message 'caution ice on road' . Not sure if there's a different temp threshold for both and iirc it beeps with message only

My 63 plate 4x4 shouts at me with just display message. My 14 plate 1.2 did the same. I had a 65 plate 1.2, honestly can't remember if it did the same. As you have a '15 model year maybe the message removed from the later cars. Did you have a 2011 500 TA. It probably had it, hence you remember.:)

My 2017 4x4 has the possible ice on road message. But by the time I have got out the back door and down the path I think I have got the message anyway.

My 64 plate 4x4 also "shouts" the warning !!

If you go to Fiat's website and their car configurator, the outside temp warning is an option on many models now. A way of saving a few pennies on each vehicle. So if yours doesn't shout at you, it was not specified when new.

I have it on my 2015 punto easy it just comes up " possible ice on road" on dash a 3 degrees c but to be honest it's annoying, is there any way of turning it off ? and the seat belt buzzer as that must be the loudest one in automotive history.

Mine has the ice warning but it's a scrolling 'banner' which if you don't notice it at the start then... Tough! There's no snowflake on mine.

I might get behind the dash and pull the plug from the buzzer, it sounds like it is below the steering column somewhere. I do use my belt but when I just want to move it a few feet or so to squeeze another car in the drive the thing keeps going off and I hate it, the light on the dash doesn't bother me just this air raid siren every time you move the car.

It can be turned off by using multiecuscan or a quick visit to your dealer/fiat specialist

I agree about the seatbelt buzzer. If it's anything like the one in my Panda TA it's a long continuous piercing alarm. Ironically, surely more dangerous than driving without a seatbelt!

Yes, a friend of mine has an O8 bravo and that is bearable but the one in my punto is so loud and when you go through menu and opt to turn down buzzer volume it doesn't !
