Hi.
When I took the Panda on a test drive she felt really nice. Since I got her she has felt jiggly and rather bumpy, I checked the tyres with the compressor that is standard with the car and all were spot on.
I wasn't convinced so I tried my good old fashioned "draper" gauge, checked a few months ago with one just calibrated by trading standards and all the pressures were up by about 5psi.
On adjusting them with the "Draper" all the bumpiness has gone.
May be well to check the gauge against a calibrated gauge.

It's pretty much known that most, if not all compressor gauges are not 100% accurate, the foot pump gauges are the same. Digital tester tyre guage is the way to go.

Well, digital or my preference, those traditional hand held jobbies that push a little rod out of the end to show the reading. They are cheaper and very simple, nothing much to go wrong or get out of standard. Always used one when I started driving in the early 90s and it never let me down.

Well done for checking the simple things first.
Intriguing results. For my 2006 Panda, pressures given by the tyre manufacturers on their websites (Continental and Vredestein) are higher than Fiat's figures in the handbook. Raising the pressures to the tyre manufacturer's figures gave me a smoother, quieter ride, with better steering control too.
