Ordered a TMC tuning box for my Panda 4X4 Multijet.

Fair play to them, it arrived VERY fast.

But once I had taken the required bits off in order to get at the Boost Sensor and Rail Sensor...........I found that the loom would not fit the Boost Sensor.

A call to customer services revealed that the fact I have stop/start is the problem and a different loom is needed.

I am hoping they had one in stock and sent it today as I really dont want to mess about putting my car back together and take it apart again while waiting. But Post Office is closed now and I have had no update either way :-(

There is only one MJ option when ordering and no mention of stop/start so if you are ordering one of these, best you add a comment manually stating whether or not you have stop/start fitted............................

Got to hand it to them - making a special trip to sorting office to get replacement bit out to me tonight.

Good luck - keep us informed. Am surprised that S/S makes any difference to the boost connection, but I don't know much about the diesels to be honest....

I've always been a bit suspect of these devises. Firstly, for doing a simple job of changing the ecu to allow more fuel into the system, they are expensive, & as said on a similar thread a remap is the way to go & has far more parameter changes. Some of the increases claimed are bit optimistic to say the least. Of late people have shied away from the boxes & went for remaps. Cheap & nasty boxes were awash on eBay when these first came out.

At the end of the day they do a simple job of dumping more fuel into the system which is not really a good procedure on its own.

Correct loom arrived today - yes - stop/start has a 4 pin boost sensor where others have 3 pin.

A quick test drive and I can feel a difference already. Especially as you reach 2000rpm - you really notice the extra ooomph which kicks in smoothly.

Filled the tank and will be doing a 50 mile round trip later today - combining A roads, B roads and a bit of urban.

Will be interesting to monitor mpg.........
