SB1500 did it come out grey/black coloured?!

Yes, take a look IMG_0709.JPG

I had a look for the filter on my Sandero and I'm sorry to say, Dacia have moved the access flap to the passenger side, access is simple.

I guess that's what you get when you buy a quality motor!

I suppose there's plenty of room where the radio should be ;-)

Nah but in all seriousness it is a bit of a joke that Fiat left it this way. I wonder how many other car models with RHD had conversion designs completed on a Friday afternoon, surely not just the Panda, though in any case it's embarrassingly more difficult than it is on the PSA cars in the family - DS3 and 208 is remarkably easy to change.

No, the DAB/Sat Nav/Media player/Bluetooth hands free system is higher up in the dash!

Though I have to admit, the rear speakers are a bit loud, might try and turn them down a bit.

I would say 'Oh, but the Panda has bluetooth', but anyone who has ever used that god forsaken system would know better! The Sandero is defintely well specced above Access trim. And I'm here on the Panda side wishing cruise control was even an option.. lol

The Panda is a basic machine by modern standards. Marketed as simple. But the pedals obstructing a regular service part is far from 'simple'!

Easiest must have been my old Fiat Multipla - the access to the pollen filter was outside the car completely, via a panel beside the windscreen wipers. Only downside was that, over time, the panel distorted slightly and rain wouldl get in and make the filter wet. In the end I put black electrical tape over the edges each time to hold it down :)

The 208 / DS3 are also up near the wipers. I suppose it could well be a down side with the closeness to the drainage system. but I've heard of it blocking / overflowing and also soaking the filter down under the dash / by the footwells too on here

I could tell whoever put the last one in also had issue as the corners were warped / pushed in out of shape. Had to take care to ensure it was 'square' in its holder before screwing it back up.

Does anybody here remember how the bolts are supposed to go?
There is one screw on the footwell platic fascia panel. I've got that.

The other two thicker, tougher bolts closer to the front of the car are also back on, but a rubber ring and washer fell out of or off of somewhere. I put them back with these bolts - but were are they supposed to go? Please advise if you guys know so I can put it right

I can assure you that it's no easy job on a LHD Panda either.;)

gr J

There was a video on YouTube of a guy doing it on a LHD Panda, he had it done in a few minutes, though it looked still fiddly to slot it in, at least he had no big bar obstructing one of the bolts lol

Oh Fiat, what spanner will you throw in my way next?! Lol

Having replaced it a few times now on the 2006 Panda, swearing has been reduced.
I remove the bolt from the bottom of the steering column and move the column aside. Then with the clutch pedal held down, the filter goes in a lot easier.

I’m only realising I should have done that now!

On my 2005 Panda I remember taking the glove box and various panels out as much as possible, as well as pulling up the carpet a bit only to find there was no cabin filter on the non AC model. And yet the guy in the motor factors was adamant it was there! I wanted to believe him lol
