does anyone know if the electric mirrors can be fitted to cars that didn't have them fitted from new? I had them on my Panda Lounge, but my Easy doesn't have them, and I really miss them, especially on these frosty mornings!
I know that some manufactures basicly install one loom for each model, leaving the connections redundant if the options aren't fitted. Just wondered if this was the case with the Panda.

Thanks in advance.

Odds are you'll need the electric motor assembly (which might cost more than a full mirror assembly), the wiring guide/harness and the control box and buttons (basically a tiny little PCB board under the buttons). It's entirely doable from a hardware standpoint, but it's still unclear whether or not this plugs into the body computer or ECU under the passenger seat. If it does, then it's probably running through either a relay or a fuse which means at the least it will need to be "introduced" to the ECU the way new indicator stalks are, which also means it might be connected to the CANBUS system which would be a real nightmare.

Long story short, if you find what you need in a breaker yard it's worth a shot, but it's probably more trouble and money than it's worth if you plan on buying new parts and paying new part prices.
