First find you don't have the right tools to take the sump plug out. Go and buy a hex socket set with a 12mm in it.
Curse the sump plug after not moving after extreme pressure for half an hour, give it one last go for it to finely crack and drain the oil over the driveway because you weren't expecting it to come out and you've lost your tin, find the tin for the last 2litres of old oil.
Move on to the oil filter which will be equally stubborn and break your specially made oil filter cups on the weld, move to the next size higher to get the oil tool off the filter only for the filter to decide to move as well.
Replace the sump plug and oil filter ( with a smear of oil around the seal of course) tighten both to a sensible level and refill with oil.
Move on to the air filter , undo the 6 7mm screws and take the air filter case off, move on to the 2 10mm bolts holding the rest off the case and find its still attached by various pipes with fixings you've never seen before. Prize these off with a screwdriver to give you enough space to get to the spark plugs..
Wrestle the leads off one at a time and find the plugs are impossible to see so put your extra long spark plug spanner down the gap where the lead was and hope, find the plug by using the force and promptly struggle to undo them because the tops are corroded.
Mange to do the first three, but find the last one is welded into the head, bottle it and decide to leave it there next year for when you take the car to have a cam belt done at a garage and ask the mechanic to also do the plugs as well.
Reassemble in reverse order, test drive the car to make sure it all works and doesn't leak, have a final check of oil level and then have a brew.:bang:
