Gather round ladies and gents, 'tis a tale of misfortune which has befallen me.
Went on holiday, drove the Panda across a pretty awful mountain with no issues. Then it all started going south. First, the wife backed into a concrete and rebar fence pole severely scratching the rear bumper (and actually knocking down the fence). Then, driving back home, we took a wrong turn and ended up on an awful B road in a storm in the dark at 2 in the night. The storm had knocked down some trees, and caused a few landslides along the way. Adding insult to injury, there was construction work all along the way. At one point, the poorly paved road was so dark we simply didn't see the massive rocks lying on the road and I drove right into one, sending the car bouncing into the air. Fearing the worst, I pulled over to see if I had sheared off bits of the suspension or torn through the oil sump. While there's a massive dent in the sump guard, there doesn't seem to be anything leaking, and I couldn't see any signs of further damage rear of the front axle.
