How much work would it be te remove the manual airco system from a 1.2ltr. ??
Is there a technical layout of the system in some service guide.

I guess you could probably stick the short belt on to bypass the compressor, but removing all the other bits seems a faff.

Whilst the aircon's off, the compressor flywheel's spinning pretty freely, not using any juice.

Dare we ask why? Removing the compressor would certainly make alternator removal easier........

I would need the space, occupied by the Airco pump, to instal a Rotrex Supercharger kit.
I could only remove what's in the way, but removing all what is not needed anymore make more sense IMHO.

Fairly easy to remove the compressor, but you must get a qualified/authorised aircon service agent or engineer to de-gas the system first. It's illegal (in Europe anyway) to release the gas.
If fitting a supercharger you will want to remove the condenser (in front of radiator) too as you will need good cooling.
