Hi again.

Pulled up at home today, applied h/brake, switched engine off, released seatbelt, took key outta the ignition, opened the door, got out and was about to close the door... when the radio came on. Had to restart and switch off the engine again to shut it up...
Now, one of the minor annoyances i've had with the Trekking is the fact that i have never been able to switch the engine off while leaving all the electric functions on, including the radio (a function i've not been without before...) but have had to switch off, then return one click to fire up the electrics.

Has anybody else encountered this phenomenon ? is it a dodgy ignition barrel ?

Cheers...

Mine has a setting in the radio menu - you can set it to stay on for a specified time after removing key.
Set to zero and it goes off as soon as key out.

Take a look in the handbook - I leave mine on 20 minutes then doesn't matter if I forget to switch the radio off. However, I am niggled by the fact that, if I switch off the engine when my iPod's playing, the radio reverts to its previous radio setting when I start again, rather than retaining the iPod status - have to switch off the radio before the engine if you want the iPod to resume.

Thanks guys, replies appreciated. Will look into the issues you raise.

Mine retains the setting you left it at (usually Aux in my case). I'd be looking at that if I were you... and yes, it'd annoy me too.
