It generally doesn't bother me driving in the snow it's just one of those things thats unfortunately happened, luckily I have a full size spare wheel in the boot which can be put on in the next day or two & then I will order a new spare rim from Shop4Parts where I purchased the other rim, the bumper on the other hand will probably buff out with some hard elbow grease as I went over it with my hand & can't feel it with my fingernail. Just quite annoying as the rest of the journey went smoothly & then that happens about 50 yards from the driveway.

It's going to be getting a set of tyres for the next MOT. It has Avon ZT7's at the moment which I'm not that impressed with, by the time the MOT comes in March they'll need replacing. Going to try & get Goodyear Duragrip it had originally as they were great & lasted for 25k before I changed them, they could have gone on for a bit longer but I didn't want advisorys on the first MOT. The Panda is much cheaper on tyres than my old Mini, were around £250 - £300 a set every 6 months due to the way I drove it 😁.

Honestly, get the vector4seasons.

Michelin CrossClimate2 - brilliant tyres, summer-biased tyres but great in winter too, and last for ever! Right now, most places offering a discount on then if you buy two, or a bigger discount off you buy 4. On my 4x4 , 15000 miles and hardly any wear at all - very impressed. Overall winner in the most recent all-season tyre test... https://www.tyrereviews.com/Article/2022-Tyre-Reviews-All-Season-Tyre-Test.htm

400 miles on badly icy roads, car parks etc. 51mpg several miles at speeds higher than one might expect a Panda to maintain. Not a twich at any point. Hill descent control used in ernest on sheet ice on a long 1:5 descent. It really did the business. Im seriously converted and so is Mrs Panda Nut who was quaking until she saw how well it worked. I got home and got out of the car and couldnt stand up without holding onto a wall a hedge or the car!!! These cars remove nearly all of the stress of winter driving. Michelin Alpins now can have a full thumbs up. A bit noisy, but excellent grip and traction. Its a true giant killer and passed this trip off in great comfort.

Speaking of which, I was pleasantly surprised when my Panda fired up first time on Christmas Eve, having not turned a wheel for five weeks. I’m doing so little mileage these days I invested in one of those Noco jumpstarters which Sod’s Law says I’ll never need.

Battery change..

I had a little 'gotcha' with my panda

That is a square head of the bolt.. no nut to undo (n)

So the 10mm ring spanner that undid the punto and 500 was of no use here

Had to find a flexi.head rathet and an a small 10mm hex socket to access the nut hidden under the cables

I swapped the bolt around for 'next time'

Just like all my other Stop:Start FIATs

( to be fair.. I've not undone the positive battery camps in years.. some have a 'cam' on the negative clamp.. so that is enough to isolate for any 'work')

had to remove 2 transport plugs ( never done that before hope ive not missed any), just need to fit it now.
Usually one on each side of the top - like this on both the Varta and Yuasa I fitted recently. - one had bright yellow plugs, the other were red. Both highly visible contrasting colours compared to the battery case. and quite tight to winkle out.

Anyone know how to reset the service light?
Think it has to be done via something like MES, don't think it can be done by pressing the mileage reset whilst sticking your left index finger in your right ear and coughing - or some other such simple procedure. Sorry, I've not been paying attention, is it a diesel? If so you'll definitely need MES or dealer tool as the oil service life needs reset too (never done this on the diesel but many on here have mentioned about it and it mustn't be ignored)
