Where are the 17"'s?
They where on the car for 15 km, from tire centre to my home, and then i took them right off again.
Terrible driving experiance, My Panda have never driven so bad as with 17” wheels on.
Now with my usual 16” on, it drive like a razor again.
There is no movement in the tires, and grip levels where terrible.
After 3 fastly taken corners i was done with them.

That's a shame. What tyre pressure where you running? I don't believe new tyres will reach optimum grip levels within 15 km of mounting them though but I guess it's just not for you.

2.7 Bar of air is in them, less pressure and you will destroy the cheek and shoulder of the tire.

2.7 is way to high imo. I'm at 2.3 and that's working fine(I do have a bigger tyre though). But at 2.5 I already feel the ride is to harsh and the tyre to stiff. The advised tyre pressure for 17" on the 500 Abarth is even lower at 2.3 for the front and 2.1 at the rear.

I gave the ?hp a good old clean and clay bar. Autoglym HD wax all over and poured some Wynn’s Gold Petrol additive in the fuel tank. Must remember to take some pics of the old gal tomorrow ?

I washed mine today with a pressure washer, Autoglym polar wash and then polar seal. Looks gleaming again.

I live next to a forest and am forever removing bits of tree, sap, pollen, and sticky yellow spots from the paintwork.

Collected it from oil change, air con regas and repassed MOT (suspension arms). Dread to think what Fiat would have charged. Will open a bottle of Maltsmiths now home to recover.

Cool. Give them a bit more of a chance then 15km though. Wonder what your final conclusion will be.
Tires need scrubbing to increase grip, but the main problem is the high weight of the wheels.
Retrieving Lichter wheels is in progress, The FIAT Bravo wheels have high load numbers and therefore high weight, the Panda is a light car and heavy wheels have a big effect on driving characteristics.

Absolutely but the first impression that made you take them of where mostly down to the high tyre pressure and lack of scrub in(imo). Also some of it might be down to the 195 tyre with very low sidewall.Lighter wheels will always be better in most respects though.

Your tire wall is 82mm mine is 78mm, with a 215/35R17" tire it would be even less, 75,3mm.
I hope to find a sub 10 kg wheel, the less, the better. :D

With some luck i will have lighter wheels by the weekend. ;)
