I agree in principle, and at the speeds I was doing more so. It still rates as the worst economy performance of the last 1,000,000 miles of motoring. I did have a Renault 16TX many years ago which went like the wind, but you could actually watch the fuel gauge dropping if doing a steady 100 mph. That is pretty well the only thing that I have eve seen m,ore fuel. The Bravo 59137422 diesel, towing close on its 1300kg limit, and at no less than 60 mph, still manages 35 mpg. I now love the twin air engine, and am I supposed amused that it now does 37 mpg according to Fiat not the 67 quoted when I bought the current car in 2017. AT 37 mpg I think the quoted economy is now realistic. I wonder however which of the totally professional and believable EU institutions was responsible for the original fuel consumption figures..... Somehow I doubt it it was tested at MIRA. I just wish the cheating lying ***** could be made to answer for the published figures.
