Good though, weren't they?

Ice cream isn't what it used to be (and neither is nostalgia, come to that)

Hands up all those who are old enough to think that a Myvi is an ice cream?

Oh that takes me back! When I was a kid they were still around. They died off before I made it past primary school mind you. Incidentally now I really fancy a....... IMG_1243.JPG

An ice lolly I remember was the tricky licky, lol!

I didn't remember that one, so I google searched Tricky Licky, and found a rather exotic American glamour model of that name*, so (with apologies to Bob Hope), Thanks for the Mammary.

Filled up to the brim to do an mpg check. 53.5 mpg after a motorway run down to Sussex and back. I always get reasonable mileage on the motorway. The Twin Air is such a good motorway engine - it seems to be in its element at those speeds.

Replaced another brake light. I'm hoping this is just coincidence, or the life of the bulbs being pretty closely matched - replaced the nearside about a month ago and now the offside one. Do appreciate the warning - albeit you have to worry about the yellow triangle of doom on the dash as you miss the message when it first appears, due to you inexplicably looking at the road ahead.

Very happy overall with the Panda - paying £2850 for a one owner 13 plate car was well under book, so the bits and bobs I've had to do, plus accepting the few dings it came with hasn't been difficult. It has the fun to hammer about element that other cheap Fiats I've owned over the years had (my 2nd car was an air cooled 126), so pretty happy at present. :)

Attached new forum sticker....my old yellow one had turned a distinct colour of phlegm in the sunlight.

Also fitted a dashcam and hardwire kit too. Busy Sunday.

Wondered why:

1. The silly handbrake gets I'm the way of fastening the seatbelt

2. The door doesn't have that 'half-stay' like the old one

3. If, having disabled the City-brake I should also mute the reverse-sensors, which appear to be very nervous.

After driving like a veritable nervous nun for the last few weeks, I got my fuel consumption for the last 750 miles up to 47.4 mpg, and my overall consumption (for 24k miles) up to 41.8.

But it's soooooo boring! I'm very tempted to hoon it for the next 250 miles, to see what I can get the mpg down to. :slayer:
