Washing the car this morning and noticed that the offside daylight cluster is loose in its mounting so it wobbles.

Dont think it will fall out.

Had a look inside the bonnet and not too clear how it should be attached.

Anyone else had this problem? Garage job?

Look under the front wheel arch. You'll spot a 'door' in there, towards the front of the car, held shut by a couple of screws. Take these out and the panel pulls away. This allows access to the DRLs (and fog lights too if fitted)

They are secured by two or three screws on 'wings' that extend up and down from the light's housing. See part numbered '6' in this drawing:

Here's a photo to show that access 'door' under the driver's side wheelarch of my 4x4. May not be too clear - my finger points to the lower of the two screws that hold it shut. - oh and for good measure the photo's come out sideways!

Thanks for your help guys.

Had a look and managed to get bottom screw out but the top one is fused-solid - even spraying WD40 and waiting a while made no difference

Guess I'm going to have to pop it into my local Fiat garage.

Spoke to garage today. They say if it is just a loose screw then probably a few quid but if the light cluster bracket has cracked then £89 for a new unit

Dropped car off this morning and picked-up tonight all fixed.

Was £89 but that included labour.

You might now chose to unscrew those screws under the wheel arch and smear a bit if copper grease on them, so next time you need to open that hatch they are not stuck fast... (thereby guaranteeing you'll never need to open it again!)
