Excellent. You liking it? Mine is 1 on Friday (y)

I think it's a great little car. I'm still getting used to the engine, am not so keen on the motorway thrumming and hope that becomes quieter as the engine beds in, but it's really brilliant on the twisty bendy up and down lanes and roads near my home. I think it drives like a diesel with its low end torque and power. I think I've made the right decision and its quirkiness means it looks pretty different to most cars on the road, a bit more individual! As I get more used to its abilities I'll take it further into the mountains for some off road exploring too.....:)

I upgraded to the winter pack which is wonderful, steel spare, blacked rear windows. Before collecting the car the dealer put in up-rated lights and waxoyld the underparts, at my request of course....I love how compact it is yet feels spacious and stands up a bit on those fine tyres. And the wonder whizz electronics on the wheels make the car feel sure footed and grounded! So yes, 11 days in and I'm like a big old kid!

What a wonderful view you have! Ardderchog!

I was wishing I was in my Cross last week while we were away on hols. We got 2/3 of the way up a 13,500 ft volcano in a crappy Nissan rental (a Sentra - what a pig of a car!) until it literally pegged out due to a lethal combination of a 17% incline and insufficient oxygen for its puny, asthmatic motor. Only 4x4s were allowed to drive right to the top. Most of them seemed to be Jeep Wranglers (all shiny and new, no mud or dents, so inevitably rentals). I reckon the Cross would have romped it! :slayer:

PS I see from the tyre tracks in your photos that you've been playing with it in the fields, too! (y)

I tiny run around the field...some of the tracks are those of my neighbour who has a Ford Kuga. You might notice that I reversed up to where the car is parked. My house is behind and down the hill, quite steep, about another 100 metres and bendy with it, so I parked up here and wandered down to the house. When I am more confident I will take it down in such conditions though (it was very icey). The day after was snow melt so took it down to park up b side the Doblo and played a bit with HDC and I think I can trust it in future!

Yep, lucky to have the view. We can see Cader Idris in the far distance and sometimes beyond!
