Hi All

My car will be 3 years old in May, so between now and then I'm obviously keen to ensure anything that the warranty could cover, does get addressed. And that's the thing, aside from the useless stop-start system and the squeaky rear brakes (that were sorted out), the car has been fine. The car is nearly at 13k miles and is really my station car, but gets used all the time for anything really by either me or the wife.

I will ask the garage to check the rear diff seals - which I think i read about on here, but aside from that, what else should I have looked over?

I did briefly toy with replacing it with a new Ford Fiesta, but I'm just not sure i could bear to part with the little FIAT as we are all rather attached to it(y)

Thanks in advance :)

I'm doing the same. My car is 3 in March. Suffers the same stop/start uselessness and squeaky rear brakes, been like that since new almost.

Going to send it in for a check over in the next few weeks. Apart from what you've mention, the dif, I'm unsure of any other likely faults to highlight?

Mines 3 in June.....brakes being sorted soon. Ss never been a problem tbh, but will get them to give it the once over.....

Inspect the bonnet for chips.

All three of ours are now showing chips in the paint, one has quite a nasty chunk of paint missing and it's not like it's ever seen a motorway!

This.

Mine has a couple of chips already and has done less than 10,000kms/6,000mi. None are on the bonnet itself though, only the plastic 'bumper' front panel. Paint seems to be a bit thin.

One key thing - get the dealer to do the MOT, and do it in good time (maybe a month?) before the car is three, so that if it fails on anything that is covered by warranty. it gets fixed for free :)

You cunning barsteward  :D
I'm lucky in that I don't have to suffer registration inspections, though some other Australian states have them.
