Bought daughter a new Panda Easy +

Very happy with car although there seems to be an issue with the seatbelt indicator lights on the dashboard.

The passenger light is indicating that the seatbelt is in use even when no one is in the passenger seat and the seat belt is not fastened.

Anyone else experienced this or know it as a common problem ?

Thanks in advance.

I've got that too. I was going to report it when it goes in for it's first service at 15,000 km (it's only on 3,500 so I've got a bit of a wait ).

It doesn't seem to be bothering anything but it's a definite bug.

Thanks aussiepanda, I was hoping this might have been the case. I have disconnected the battery and the fault clears for a couple of days then returns again.

Will contact dealer at a convenient time.

Are you sure there is a fault and not just the incredibly complex system of lights on the Panda? I find the seatbelt lights baffling - the light being on/off all seems to be in reverse for some reason, with sensors in the passenger seat detecting if there's weight in it or not etc. With 2x child seats in the back bench, I'm always left scratching my head over whether the light should be on or off! When I went through the manual, it all seems to be working properly, but it's just confusing when compared to other cars I've owned! Perhaps I'm just not in-tune with the Fiat way....! ;0)

Found problem. Removed black cover at front of seat. 2 electrical connectors for seat pressure sensor and switch for when seatbelt plugged in. One of the connectors wasn't clicked together properly but is now. Seatbelt lights back to normal.
