Technical short changed new order?

Latest is that the dealer MD is talking to Jeep. They either want a (£32k) sale or they don't as far as I'm concerned.... Trouble is, the car is what we want, there is nothing else remotely of interest other than disco sport and that wayyyy to expensive)
We looked at the Jeep, but went for a Yeti in the end and do not regret the decision at all!

Disgraceful conduct by the dealer. Take your business elsewhere. It's the only way they'll learn.

As for the 4x4 alternatives, I've had the same dilemma as you - ideally I wanted something bigger than a Panda, but the wife won't consider a Yeti (the first one she saw was red, and now she refers to them as Postman Pat's car), I wasn't smitten with the Renegade, Tiguans are totally boring (both to look at and to drive), the new Disco Sport is too expensive, etc.

I'm going to take a look at the new Seat Ateca when it finally lands in the UK (we've had several Seats, and they've been great).

Well as coincidence would have it, I've just had a similar thing happen to me.
Just got a quote for a new polo GTI and filled in the former to order. Get an email back saying that vw just pulled the deal and would I like to check their Web site for an alternative.

In fairness, they are telling the truth as if I check contracthireandleasing.com the many results of under £175 a month have all gone and similar contract terms are all now over £225.

So you snooze you loose and it is written in the small print "subject to availability etc." but it does say in the main print quote valid for 7 days.

In another similar thing, this one really drives me mad. I'm trying to book a holiday for summer. Being a family of 6 we tend to book villas and get separate flights.
The amount of times on certain sites like owners direct that you get a result with "your dates are available" then you get a follow up email after you've hit the book button.
"The dates you've requested are no longer available, however, we have availability in this (**** no one wants) villa. Bait and switch.

Drives me mad. You can usually spot them as the calendar shows total availability throughout the season even though the owner/agent updated the calendar today.

Is it worth going to another dealer and starting again? We do like the renegade. It's the 1.4 170 4x4 ltd

That's the one! I saved over a grand on my Yeti by using quotes obtained on Carwow as a bargaining chip. That was with 0% finance and £750 deposit contribution. Mind you, Skoda are a dream to deal with compared to most Fiat dealers.

No rush on that really, we'll wait for the next 0% offer to come along.....it was more a matter of principle. Also the way they casually emailed after accepting the order to say the offer as quoted is no longer available and the new repayment will be .... Thanks for your business.

Good for you :) When I signed the order for my Yeti at the end of quarter1, the dealer made a point of saying he'd move me over to the quarter 2 deal if it was better. As it happened it wasn't, but I still got the cheaper of the two deals. Glad you stuck to your guns.

Good for you!:)

Honestly, if a company cannot even sell you a product properly, just imagine what the after-sales is going to be like. First letter begins with S and the last letter begins with T:D:D

No doubt you won't have to wait long to get the deal you want.

Is Jeep Customer Services the same contact number as Fiat's? If you can be bothered I would ring them up and tell them you cancelled your order because of the arrogant reply from your dealer. At least it is in the system then.
