Pondering a used 0.9 Lounge............yeah, don't go on about it.

Anyway - who has the heated screen option?

Do you like it?

Where's the switch for it, in case the dealers have missed listing it by accident.

Like it a lot.. especially in winter!

Re the switch.. Fiat have been a bit cheapskate & lumped it in with the rear screen. Which is not good, both screens on together draw a lot of power. & I've found that you don't need the front on as long as the rear. Ford's superior system uses separate switches.

Aaah thanks. So the only giveaway is putting the reading glasses on so you can actually see the heating elements (for the older folks whose eyes are going).

If the car has heated screen, the button for the heated rear screen has two symbols on it (one for rear and one for front) - so should be easy to spot. The photo here shows the switch (just!). Same switch also turns on the heated door mirrors (if fitted)

I've got a heated screen on the Fiesta. It clears ice very quickly, a nice toy, but I could easily live without it.
The Ford screen has quite visible heating elements, quite annoying during the day, a real pain at night as oncoming headlights show every wire. Then, I absolutely hate it.

I've been in several VWs with heated screens and they have been almost invisible in daylight, but not tried at night. I've not seen a Fiat one.

So, my advice, before committing, sit inside and see if the wires annoy. If possible, do it when dark and see if they reflect.

I've got it on my Focus - can't say I notice it.

Ive heard the VAG group one is no where near as effective taking 2-3 minutes to clear.

My 3-year-old TA Lounge only has the all-in-one switch, not the dual one shown. But I wouldn't be without the heated screen, although it takes a couple of minutes to work, depending on the severity of the frost, and then - Presto! - one sweep of the wipers and job done.
Mike.

I've had it on my Land Rover Defender. It works very well. I also have it on my Cross now, but I have not used it yet. Luckily, winter is coming.

If you need it or not:
I would say it is very dependent on where you park your car.. Do you park much outide? Is it a cold freezing place in winter? (Like Norway)

Also a thought:
Gasoline engines heat up much more quickly than diesels do...

I too had it on my defender so was very pleased to see it as an option on the 4x4.....can't say that the elements have ever bothered me tbh
