I'm guessing that only an expensive Fiat diagnostic machine can do this? The days of pushing/holding a button on the dash whilst turning the ignition key have long gone hey??

I think it's an option in the menu that's accessed with the headlight adjustment buttons just below the radio?

MultiECUScan should do it

you've not stated which engine though, some will require more resetting than others

DPF , oil degradation,
Multiair unit,
etc.

If you have the handbook, all the options available from the menu are explained in there - there's an horrendous thunderstorm going on outside at the moment so I'm not going out to get mine (so there).

MES will do it.

I don't have the handbook to hand either, it's the wife's car and she's out in it at present. Last time I looked through it, I really don't think that they state how to do that procedure, it's bound to say "contact a Fiat dealer"

Sorry, MES = MultiECUScan Wonderful software package for all diagnosis and most adjustments on Fiats. Need licensed version for service reset. Need cables foro connection and a PC to run it. Laptop or Netbook works best, desktop will need a long cable!
