I so want one of those ramps - which one is it?

Bought them years ago so didn't pay this much for them, but this where I got them from.

As for the handling improvement, not sure yet. The job took a little longer then I expected as the rear springs which should just drop out once you remove the lower damper bolts didn't. The springs are so long the rear beam which goes over the diff hits on the diff before the springs are fully extended so they were sit under compression making it difficult to get them out. I had to use spring compressors to get them out. So by the time I got all of this done it was beer o'clock so never got to go out on a long run, I'll try it today.

If anybody else is thinking of doing this, make sure you remove the plastic lower bump stop on the beam axle, as if you don't there wont be any clearance between the top bump stop and the lower spring seat.

Measurements before, from the wheel centre to the top of the wheel arch - F 385mm R 410mm, now 345mm all round.

It would look great. I totally get the 4x4 Panda in Italy, remote farms, really bad roads a cheap work horse for the farm. However in the UK, as with most 4x4's, if you don't intend to take it off road and only want to benefit of the good traction, then why have it sitting so high??

Don't worry about getting slated, just do it....

So front only drops 40mm and rear 65mm.

I had to use spring compressors to get them out.
You can use big strong tyraps/zip ties for that, put them on the spring when the car is still on the ground and the springs are partly compressed.

EXIF says it's Mac/Photoshop CS6.............and it looks photoshop to me.
Never the less it look good.
I would not buy a 4x4 for offroad use, but more for the 4x4 traction.
I also would lower a Cross for same reason. ;)

What tire size did you have on. ?

btw, do not have bigger pics. ;)

Not sure if this picture will be any bigger, you could check in my FF gallery for a better resolution.

Tyre size is 205/40/17. The 7" wheel is very close the inner wheel arch as the with an offset of only 38 you have any extra 22mm in board. I fitted a set of spacers on the rear which has put the clearance on the inside back to where it was. Just need to get some for the front too, to balance up the look.

Not to everyone's taste I know, but I like it.

How does it feel on the road, Mike? And do the new wheels sap the performance?

On the road it feels fine, although I think the rear springs are a little soft, may investigate fitting my abarth dampers when I change the suspension on that one. As for the performance, what can I say. .... it's a FIAT multi jet diesel, you don't miss what you never had. But joking aside can't feel any difference.

How much mm are the spacers. ??
I can get my hands on a set of wheels like yours.

I ended up going with 16mm spacers, made sure I had plenty clearance.

It's a pity you're not in the UK I've taken my wheels off to put my winter ones back on and have decided to sell my Abarth wheels and tyres.
So, theoretical you create a 22 offset with 16mm spacers.
I'm running 7x16" with ET31 and 195 tires with ± 10-12 mm space on the inside, with ET 38 it would mean 3-5 mm.
With the 205 tire it would be almost zero.
