I agree - I've suggested driving cars with spikes on the steering wheel to aid concentration! ;)

Rather disappointingly I got 48 out of 50. Oh well, never mind...... I didn't know what happened after you'd been disqualified (hey, what can I say), and got out to check when I couldn't see rather than relying on a dodgy shop window reflection (I was trying to predict the correct answer & overthought it!). Is that really an example of the actual test - where are the signs to identify, how to indicate (though I believe you no longer do when passing parked vehicles! :bang: ) etc?

I got 49/50, most were common sense, one that got me was about only being allowed to park on the left in the dark

49 out of 50 also I have no idea what a disqualified driver has to do to get there license back?

About ten years ago I did start training to become a driving instructor and took and passed the 100 question theory test with hazard perception which had come in about that time, I never went on to do the driving or teaching tests but at least I know the theory of how to drive.

Yep I knew that one - no one around here seems to though!

You can only (legally) park in the direction of traffic flow - I guess it's to do with rear reflectors. You must have lights on unless the road has a 30mph or less limit. So all the idiots round here who park unlit facing the wrong way on country lanes take note! I had to park in an unlit village last night & I was the only one with lights on - maybe everyone's worried about their modern cars not starting - no problems with a mk2 Panda ;)

The Prius has LED tail and front position lamps, I think the regular number plate light probably have the same draw on the battery as all the others put together, often leave my lights on out of laziness when parking on road for an hour or so, with no adverse affects to date :)

I often wonder just how long they'd burn for before the battery dies.

127's & mk2 Panda's are fine overnight with a decent battery - the parking lights were designed for leaving on while, er, parking.

I notice most German cars only put one front & rear parking light on (and usually the wrong one at that - lazy engineering not swapping it for RHD, shoddy, shoddy!) - presumably as their technology can't manage the drain of both lights - poor quality components, as I always say!! ;)
