From Squaddies thread:
The colour change was confirmed on the 16th which was a Sunday so 17th for certain.

I actually paid the £500 refundable deposit on the 14th.

OK, let's work with ur order date, 14th Nov.
............................BogW..........Bundes.................Squaddie
Ordered..............17oct .......... 27oct....................14nov
Status16.............??...................7nov....................25nov
Status20.............9nov............19nov...................?7dec?
Status35............12nov...........?22nov?................?10dec?
Status40............~18nov........?28nov?...............?16dec?
AtDealers...........22nov..........?2dec?..................?20dec?
Collected............24nov..........?4or7dec?.............?UP2U!
Bold: past but not confirmed

I hope you & others find above info useful. Cross orders will not always follow this amazing 36day turn around. It must be hard to wait 84days!!!

As the cars come to the UK by boat from Naples, I guess the boat doesn't sail every day.
I know that the No1 Cross changed to status35 on my birthday, which was a Wednesday. So if the boat sails tomorrow, & my cross is on it, then I will get a status update/change from my Fiat guy tomorrow. This means all my above dates for me will be out by 4 days. If so, I will still be so delighted with Fiats performance.
Good news for you squaddie is your cross might ship on wed 10dec if built on the 7th
.

H mode is delivery mode. Should have been reset at PDI.

Basically, a dealer can do up to 99km's of delivery/ road testing before zeroing the odo. Delivery miles then reads zero.

H will disappear at 100kms but sloppy by your dealer!

If you keep your finger on the trip button for a few seconds whilst the H is on the dash, the mileage on the car will reset to 0 miles

So that's why some dealers are happy for you to test-drive unregistered cars that have already been sold - they get a free 100km worth of test drives and the new owner is none the wiser.

Reminds me of that scene in Ferris Bueller's Day Out where the 2 garage guys rag the a*se off Cameron's dad's Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder - only unfortunately for Cameron, that car didn't have a handy reset button (n)

(See that red car, Bundes? That's your Panda Cross, that is!)

Funniest thing is that Simon_16vPunto is my fiat dealer!

I would never do such a thing:devil:

I always thought it was up to 250 miles a new car could go before it resets to zero itself.
So you're going for the free mileage on your car then? If you fill it up to the brim when it resets then you'll have a true mpg from the 1st mile. I might ask Simon to leave my H on.

Mark yours has moved to status 30

Boo
only 30! Sitting by the docks, just watching the ships go by.
Boo
The robots did grand, the shipment guys need to get my cross on the next boat.
It might get put on the boat/ship later today, so I'm still hopeful it'll be status 35 soon.
Thanks SI

Hows ur new old wee punto?

It's in the showroom, did u see the pics on my Facebook? It's like walking into a fiat dealer 20 years ago

So your turned ur dealership into a retro fiat dealers, are to doing the prices from 20years back?
I will have to see them on Facebook later.

Was only joking about leaving my cross in H mode.
Just dont be doing a ferris bueller and taking my cross along the beach and in the north sea at Montrose.

Status 30 eh, mine moved very quickly after that, bet you have it for some pre Christmas Haggis hunting expeditions(y)

Those wee haggis wouldnae stand a chance as they bounced around the hills. They would slot into the holes in the Cross skidplate nicely.
I think a better sport would be chasing the skiers around the slopes up at aviemore.

I cant remember urs being status 30, just 35. Urs defo sailed on a Wednesday

I spoke with my dealer today & she said if you reset the H like above it will go to zero but if you leave it the H will go & the millage will just carry on. She seemed to think the H would stay for 750 miles though.

If mine comes with an H I'll leave it & see how long it stays & report back.

Its Defo worth the experiment of not resetting it. Let's see how far u get for free. When it does reset, fuel up and reset all the trips

No idea. Only stage we're interested in is, 'It's ready come and get it'.

I have recently bought a couple of Mk1's which are keeping me occupied till the big day comes, so my self control is not as good as it may appear from that first sentence.

Hi again.
Have you not had your come and get it phone call yet?
You ordered your cross on the 19th Oct, 2 days behind bogwoppit.
I guess ur dealer is giving it a bash around the local fields with potential buyers, before it gets a quick rinse with the hose and you get a call.
Surely its this Saturday

Haha! No, nothing yet. I may give them a call tomorrow, so much for trying to be cool about it.

Is that for free or are you just ripping off the next poor soul you pass it on to? Look deep inside yourself and 'do unto others what you would have done unto yourself' ;-)
