General 2 year / 18,000 mile service

Mine goes in later today for tomorrow.

Does anyone else ensure it's spotless inside & out beforehand?

Anyway, aside from a shed load of checks, the only change items are listed below.

How true to the "around £250" do you think my service will be?

Mine's never spotless, inside or out. I have to tell them not to valet it, as all I'd get would be a quick bucket 'n chuck it job with a dirty sponge, which would just grind the accumulated muck and grime into the paint. Better left well alone than that!

Good song.

Anyway, I've printed that & highlighted what's to be changed.

I've also written the oil grade / type on (Digitek Pure Energy 0/30).

Looking at the list, the only difficult parts are the cabin pollen filter & the brake fluid change.

I do trust them but they are a fiat garage after all :(

All done. Just under £250 all in.

The bush in the arm was starting to pop out. Other than that, looked in good condition.

The said the sump guard had some rust on it so I may drop it down & attend to it with Hydrate 80.

Another 12 months Pan European breakdown cover too.

J & J motors near Bridgend. Very happy.

Mmmm. One thing I noticed this morning when adjusting the clock & pairing a new phone was the service mileage counter hasn't been reset :( Says service due in just over 9k miles. Doubt I'll do this in a year, even with our planned French trip in August but I should probably let them know......

I hope they were more meticulous with the rest of the service - it's not a bad idea to let them know that you're fussy.

It does make me worry for sure but they picked up a slightly bulging bush in the lower arm and sorted that.

They know how fussy I am & I've dropped them a line this morning.

Ironically, I filled the Fiat survey thing in yesterday and gave them top marks across the board:(

I wonder if they have reset it but just did it for the new annual/9000 mile inspection interval for cars registered from mid-2014 onwards, rather than the old 18,000 mile interval?

That's a good point! Mine is a Jan 15 TA.

It's 15000 KMs / 9320 miles or 12 months.

I've sent J&J an apology!

Ohhh I didn't realise yours was a Jan 2015 model - that's definitely on the new interval then. I was thinking it was a 2014 model & they might've just got muddled up when resetting the counter.

Oh well, all sorted :)
