Hi

I know there's been mention of the dash in the Panda starting to rattle after a few 1000 miles.

Mine now has 6500 miles and is going in for it's 12 month/low mileage service and the passenger side dash has been having a knocking/rattle for a while now so I want to sort this out. I've read about brackets being replaced and a loose heater matrix too but can any of you say what yours was like and if you had what sounds like the same issue as me so I can advise the dealer about it. It sounds as though something is knocking against the rear of the dash as if you've something in the glove box causing it (but it isn't).

My one/off exhaust rattle is also being looked at again, previously I was told, "they've checked the exhaust and nothing is loose", no shock that it still does it then.

Overall these two things really annoy me and spoil the car as it is either a rattle from the exhaust or a knocking from the dash.

This is definately the worst Fiat of the last 4 I've owned for build quality. My prevous model panda and two 500s had no such build quality problems.

Any guidance from you all appreciated.

Thanks

Phil

You've clearly never owned a grande punto, new rattle in that every week! Unfortunately, I found getting rattles fixed under warranty quite difficult, especially in the 3rd year dealer warranty.

So far the panda is good, although I'll be surprised if the TA engine vibration doesn't cause some rattling in the future. I agree the previous panda felt more solid, despite the new one feeling more upmarket overall. Hope you get on OK with it, keep us posted.
