Pedantic question. Why is the engine cover logo not in colour on this brandnew twinair?

Could be the new Euro-6 engine.
It has a new cilinderhead and turbo, maybe thats why the Cover/Airfilterbox is different.

I noticed that too on my 500 which I received in jan, I reckon it's just cost cutting and doesent really signify anything, pity though, I preferred the original one!

I think that only applies to the 105 TA, pretty sure the 85 euro 6 is identical to euro 5.

Nope 85 TA Euro-6 have the same cylinderhead as the 105 TA. (part number 71775472)
The 85 TA Euro-5 engines have either 71775053 or 71769071 cylinder head part numbers.

Interesting, thanks. I've no idea what my car is as it was built last week in 2013 and the manual states I should use 0W oil which might indicate its euro 6. Maybe the cylinder head part number will shed some light as to what it is.
