They have also limited the colours on the 4x4. The grey dashboard has been deleted and the only options are sand/charcoal seats with sand dash and olive/charcoal with olive dash. My original order of sand/charcoal seats with grey dash is no longer available, so was changed to the 205 option from 293. One would assume they would be the same for the trekking, but being Fiat and ease of manufacture, they will probably leave all the options available....... One thing I did see, was that the orange is no longer available on the fiat.it website for the 4x4, but was still on the Trekking. Talk about standardizing there builds across the 4x4 and Trekking. It's just asking for a misbuild on these. Anyone know what the emissions, fuel economy or engine spec is changing from Euro5 to Euro6?

The lady from the dealer who was telling me about the interior colour changes was mystified too, but pointed to the wording in the brochure about fiat being able to change anything at any time. And indeed they do! What I don't get is the charcoal and sand combo which is what I originally ordered, is the only one that isn't slightly controversial, so why did they get rid?? I went for the orange theme one cos I liked the grey dashboard facia and wanted to keep it, although as said previously it's now 'solid grey' rather than metallic so I don't know whether it will look cheap or not.

We were quite lucky, as we actually preferred the sand dash inserts that were not initially available on a white 4x4. The system still let the dealer order the grey dash insert, but had to be altered centrally via Fiat HQ. You would have thought that they would actually tell someone, or at least alter the dealer ordering system...... Then again, they don't seem that organised with each countries website showing slightly different details. The fiat.it site even shows some details of the Euro6 engines, but even then, is very basic info.

I think the flat/matt grey dash insert should be okay, as both the sand and olive dash inserts are flat colours. So I suppose they are just standardising the process. I still can't work out why the Trekking and 4x4 now offer different colour schemes as it just adds to the complexity.

All manufacturers can change things and I know Ford do the same..... The only difference is, that they tell you or at least the dealer beforehand.

do you know what the details are for euro6 vs euro5? I had a go looking at the Italian site myself, but can't read Italian and don't use the European metric system for measurements!

I could not work it out either. The website shows the Eu6 engine, but when you download the brochure it still has the old Eu5 spec in it. Maybe one day....... Very soon I hope.

Fiat did communicate the interior combination changes to the dealers via their dealer portal, but unless someone at the dealer bothers to read the info on the portal then they wouldn't know - it's not glaringly obvious.

From a few months experience of working for a Fiat dealer, Fiat do nearly always tell us of changes, but in some instances (like with the Panda interiors) there's not much time between them warning us and the changes being applied. This I am told can be down to some info coming from the factories/Italy being quite last-minute, but that might just be people blaming other people, who knows.

In our bulletin from Fiat it said that the amendments to the Panda spec would be added to the brochure at the next scheduled re-print. The configurator seems to update as and when stocks of existing combinations run-out but I don't know that for sure.

There have been changes across 500L (trims & colours), Bravo (everything), Punto (engines), Qubo (engines) & Doblo (everything) as well as Panda. The 500 has only moved from Euro 5 to Euro 6 but no other changes spring to mind.

Hope that helps.
