Personally I can't understand why anybody would want to spend this kind of money on a Fiat panda! At the end of the day, it's still a panda. Don't get me wrong, I love my 1.2 pop, but would spend any more money than I did on this cheeky little motor.

I can quite see the point but I suspect that those of us willing to pay the price have a specific reason - live on the edge of Dartmoor, live part of the year up a white road in Italy, live in the frozen north, specific hobbies - in which case I think it's pretty universally agreed that there's nothing on the market that matches the Panda's mix of capability and value.

The specced up Panda is too expensive. If it was beautifully finished and built it might approach the worth of the price demanded, but sadly it isn't, judging by the problems reported here.

Quite right.

I know I specced mine with almost everything and got 2 grand off, but I can't agree that its badly put together, mine is really very good. Its my 1st fiat and my hopes were not that high tbh, but I gotta say I'm impressed overall. Its so good to drive over rough roads and quiet on the motorway its probably the best car I've ever bought - and I've had a few! :)

Moved recently to a house in the country up a rough track and crept up and down said track gingerly in 1st in the Panda "My Life", but now attack it confidently in 2nd in our 4X4 TA . There are stretches of nearby road that have required proper repair, rather than crappy patching, for, I suspect quite a long time, but I now glide over the rumpty tumpty rumbly grumbly and surprisingly cling to the corners. I say "surprisingly" because I had read that it rolls a lot due to the extra height, but it seems to corner very precisely. By the way the engine is mental, loads of oomph and sounds like a motorcycle! Loving it, but snow will be the telling.

Personally I don't think this car is overpriced, except in the sense that all cars are too expensive. The TA 4x4 is middle of the range Corsa pricing... And I know which car I would sooner have by a rutted country mile...

My mate who drives a tractor at another hospital had a blockage in the fuel pipe he was in a field at the time phoned me up if I could unblock it again ,did unblock 2 weeks ago I was home at the time so had to get some tools drive back to oxford then drive off road into this meadow field ,although he had help but I still had to blow into the fuel tank filler to unblock, as the field has cut paths it was easy to drive although there is long grass where its not cut I did manage to reverse into and over that ,tyres look a bit muddy but then the car manages to cope ,PS this happen from 1520 today
