While cleaning it today, i noticed two small marks near the edge of the bonnet (both sides, rear side where it meets the pillar). Upon close inspection, i noticed the nuts securing the bonnet to the hinges had marks on them too. What does that mean?

Someone has had the bonnet off?

Fiat uk called to say, they'll be replacing the vehicle with a new one again. Goods news but need to go through the hassle of breaking in and wax oil all over again.

Why ? Please tell what was wrong.

My guess would be car was bent prior to first registration. If damage more than superficial, car should not be sold as new. Usually these become demonstrators.

Have you got a pic of these marks out of interest?

Very very minor but was unhappy as looked like the bonnet was removed.

My dealer would never, I repeat never replace the car even if half of it would missing. You get your chance to look at it for any outer faults, marks...etc before you pay for it and that`s it.

Good to see that your getting a new car because we don't want dealers getting away with any unfinished job or we could end up with our cars getting a bad name due to factory or dealerships mistakes

The story said the whole front end was a bit wonky. Did you get an explanation in the end?

The top floor on the transporter was lowered too far down, your's was probably the car below, hit some bumps and the top ramp was bouncing off your bonnet

Hi there, I also was drying my 4x4 off a couple of days ago after cleaning and have also noticed the same type of marks as mentioned in previous posts. I thought that I had lifted the bonnet to far back and caused them, but after checking this it was not the case. The car is about 3 months old so not sure whether to call the dealer to see what the response is?
