I have just developed the dreaded dash rattle on the left side.
This appears to be a common fault, but has anyone discovered the actual cause?. Sorry if I have missed the obvious in a previous post.
2k miles on my Panda and otherwise very happy.

Had the same on mine after the dash had to be replaced due to imperfections upon delivery.Bishops of Guildford incapable of fixing (or anything it seems) so asking for new car.

Thanks for reply. Going in next week to be sorted I hope !!. Will update on outcome.

Update on above. Rattle has been traced to mounting brackets behind dash. New parts on order. Hope this sorts problem out. Complete dash removal is NOT necessary for fix.

On left side , exactly where I`m not sure but dealer seems fairly confident of a cure.
Only time will tell, keep you updated of outcome.

My 1.2 Lounge has just developed the dashboard rattle, on the left hand side. Very disappointing. Next week, it''s in for its first service, second tailgate replacement and to check running when cold, as it's not very smooth, so they are going to check the rattle as well. What next??! I don't love this car as much as I thought I would...

Love the car too, passing Swansea this morning, will pop in to the dealers and state its still there, then book it in for a look. If there's a few of us esp. with the bracket issue? then it will be an easy known fix? Is there such thing as a bulletin that shows the fix to dealers.

I've sussed exactly where the dash rattle is coming from on my car.
It's the glovebox. It only happens when it's cold though. If I run the heater toward feet, after a few minutes it goes.
There must be some thermal expansion going on.

I'll take a look today and see if I can cure it.

eyebee, how did you get on with sorting out the rattle? Mine is intermittent, so of course when I was at the dealer today for the first service and I asked them to check it, all was silent...It's back now of course, on the left side, sounds like something is loose, so I'd appreciate comments/advice from anyone with the same problem. Thanks all!

Car was booked in Monday past but when I got there the courtesy car that was allocated to me was under 10 feet of snow.
I`m re- booked for Tues. next. Will keep you updated of progress or lack of :bang:.

Mine has started now after having the new dash installed a few weeks back.

only does it when its cold and once warmed up it goes. however if i push against the middle dash vent its stops.

going to have a look myself at the weekend as i think it just need a rubber grommet possibly.

will keep you all informed....

Car just out of dealers no rattles for the first few miles, then it returned. Seems to be more intermittent but certainly not cured. Will take it back when I have time but it appears that there is no easy fix. Maybe the Fiat boffins will produce a miracle in the near future..
BEFORE I GO CRAZY.

Don't know if you read this already on the 4x4 thread?

My rattle was cured yesterday. They totally stripped the dash and centre console trying to find it.
It turned out to be the heater matrix wasn't bolted up tight.
Sloppy assembly at factory.

My rattle only happened when the car interior was cold. If I ran the heater the rattle would go.
