General Dash rattle

Can anyone else confirm that the rattle has now gone since the weather has warmed up? Mine has stopped now but i dont want it to happen again come the end of the year.

Anyone have any luck fixing theirs?

I CAN confirm that the dashboard rattle on the passenger side has disappeared now that the weather is warmer.

I had the car booked in to the dealer to have it sorted and they were having it overnight so that they could hear the rattle in the cold morning, but I had to cancel as there's nothing to hear now... Let's hope it never returns!!

I have only heard my dash rattle once on the passenger side its gone now

Recently I've been doing a lot of local bus travel (free Oldie pass :D)

You can't beat a bus for rattles, especially with today's potholes :(

Looking forward to getting my long-overdue Panda :yum:

Just back from France in the Panda,1300 miles and the rattle seems to have stopped. Hope it stays that way.!
Averaged 50.4 mpg, pretty pleased with that considering half of those miles were motorway. i.e 70_ 80 mph.

GUESS WHAT !!. Rattle back. Maybe I should go and live in France !:bang:

A few degrees warmer, but possibly it made a difference. Suppose i`ts back to the dealer PITA. I`ve got an old Mk1 MX5 that I would rather be tinkering with.
Never mind, will get it sorted eventually.(y)

Hi,
Has anyone discovered which mounting brackets needs to be replaced behind dash to solve the rattling?

Mine has started rattling now it's cooler...
Nice and quiet all summer...

Is the dash a pig to get off?
Would love to add some damping back there...

Hi.
I'd say my dash has been removed during the ownership of the previous owner. It started to rattle about three months ago but It went when I squeezed three really thick pieces of rubber between the edge of the dash and the windscreen, one at each end and one in the middle. Not had a problem since.

mine rattles when cold and goes when warm,it had a new screen after i bought it so now wondering if its the A post cover
This (rattling with temperature changes) seems to be a common thing. Mine does it with the heater on in winter or the air con on in summer. t was completely rattle free until it was 3years and a day old! I wonder if a clip that holds part of the heater/demist ducts together fell off? I can stop it with the very lightest touch on the top of the dash. One day I might figure how to remove the dash trim - the band of colour (silver in my case) - so I can see through to the space beyond. It must just clip in, as available in different finishes.

Good call..
Put some strips of 4mm rubber where you suggested and no rattle...

Well pleased, thanks Trevor (y)
