Does anyone know if there is any way I can lower the drivers seat on my pop by a couple of inches somehow? Cant understand why fiat didnt fit adjustable drivers seat as standard ... its a real pain when you are tall !

Fiat probably didn't fit a adjustable seat as standard because you have the base model poverty spec. Those sort of things are never normally fitted to base models.

Are the seats the same as other Fiat models? Could try a seat from another model, but failing that it's waiting for a mk4 to make it to a scrappy.

Can't help with a solution to the problem, but re the height adjustable seat - it's not standard on any of the models, not even the Lounge. Bit stingy really!

It is fitted on mine though (1.2 Easy) as I refused to pay for something like that which was standard on our old 500 Pop. I know the two cars can't really be compared 100%, but if you buy a mid-range Panda then it should at least have the same spec as a 500 Pop IMO.

Likewise I got the Comfort Kit (including coat hooks) and electric mirrors for free too.

It's totally nuts that the adjustable seat - and back folding feature for the passenger seat - are not standard. They would cost Fiat next to nothing and be a real selling point.

When I tested the T/A it had the adjusatbale seat. The salesman needed it set low as he has a long body, whereas I needed it pumped up because I have a shorter body. And anyway I detest sitting low in a car. There isn't much difference in our height by the way and our eye level when driving was identical.

I have sat in a Panda with a non-adjustable seat and I found it a compromise, and not in a Goldilocks way either, it was too low for me.

The height adjustable seat I quite agree with. On balance though, I think the passenger table is probably a justified £50 option. I would probably favour a 50/50 or 60/40 split fold rear seat as a free option over that, but that's just my opinion.

But whatever you do, don't order the passenger table as part of the famed Flex Pack as it will be a serious waste of cash(y)

Bobcat43 - apologies for hijacking your thread. The only suggestion I can come up with is to contact your dealer or FIAT Customer Services and see if there are any cars available in stock which are fitted with the height adjustable seat.

I can't imagine it will be particularly cheap, but there is a small chance you might be able to swap it from another car. As it is an optional extra on all of the Pandas, I guess it wouldn't matter too much if it was pinched from an unsold vehicle in stock.

It is clutching at straws a bit though I'm afraid....

Does the height adjust seat actually go lower than the non adjustable seat?
