Hi,

First post on this forum, I bought a fiat panda pop yesterday (62 plate), reg'd october. Seems good so far. Never owned a fiat before, unless a ford Ka counts!

Sadly this panda was to replace one of two cars that were stolen 3 weeks ago. Anyway, I've got two questions.

1) I've bought a tracker from amazon, (link removed) does anyone have any advice for how to fit it? Are there any links to photos of removing the dash or centre console etc where it might be able to be installed? It needs 12V power but most of the other things are optional.

2) The car does not have remote central locking. Can this be fitted after purchase? It's something we can manage without, but I wanted to know if it was possible.

Thanks,

Dave

Welcome to FF Dave, sorry to hear about the recent car thefts.

Regarding the tracker, considering its a new car, it might be an idea to see if the supplying dealer will be able to fit it to prevent warrantee issues of things go wrong with the wiring, failing that I think it'll be a case of trial and error DIYing it yourself as the mk4 Panda hasn't really been out long enough for people to have already been there and done that before you.

Regarding the remote locking its not easily retro fitted, as I suspect like the mk3 the mk4 probably hasn't got a locking motor in the drivers door. Again having a system retro fitted on such a new car could again cause warrantee issues later on.

Hope this helps.

Jon.
