Hi all,

I've got a little problem with my TA, the external window beading on the driver's door has become distorted in the top left corner, sounds very similar (if not the same) as that experienced by pilgrim42 under the thread "Boot Mechanism". Is this happening to anyone else's Panda? And is it an item which will be repaired under warranty?

I'm also having the same issues as Super Uwe, RE the internal door seals sticking to the doors after a period of inactivity. It took some pulling to get the door opened the other day, I was feared it would pull the seal from it's seating! It's as if the rubber hasn't cured properly before being fitted, and is trying to bond with the door frame. Has anyone else experienced this, and is it normal?

And one last thing, I am sorry about this... I noticed this morning, after much heavy rain last night, that on opening the boot of the car I could hear alot of water running from inside the the boot lid itself. Again, is this normal? I'm concerned about water lying in there and doing what moisture and mild steel does at it's worst!!

It all may sound a bit petty but this is the first brand new car I've ever owned and don't want it getting damaged through not knowing what is normal (or not). I've never come across any of the above issues before in other cars I've owned, which is reasoning for my concern.

Many thanks in advance...

Apologies for my incompetence - I have got the beading and seals mixed up by the looks of it!

Anyway, the rubber door seals (and the left rear one in particular) have got stuck a couple of times again. Not quite as drastically as your one by the sounds of it, but I am concerned about it happening in an emergency - what if we need to get our son out of the back quickly and the door won't open?

Will just have to keep an eye on it, but I am not particularly keen to have to keep going back to the dealer as it is nearly 40 miles away from me.

On a separate note, the washer fluid switch doesn't appear to be working 100% either. When you push the wiper stalk forwards to activate the rear screen washer, it deposits varying amounts of water on the front windscreen as well. As a result, I absolutely flew through about a litre of screenwash yesterday!

Has this happened to anyone else at all?

I totally forgot to mention the doors sticking when I was at the dealer the other day. They've been fine while the weather's been cold though. Will be keeping a close eye on them.

I've not had any issues with the washers (and hopefully won't), so will pay attention to this over the coming months.

Despite these little issues (as well as the tailgate problem which reared it's head the other day), it still is a cracking wee car!:slayer:

Guess what? It hasn't happened to ours for the past few days either, despite the cold and rain! So I will just have to keep an eye on it, if it gets a lot worse then I'll have to bite the bullet and take it in.

I quite agree with you though, I still really enjoy driving the car and it'll have to take something drastic to change that!

Really must go and buy some of the silicone spray as recommended by another poster on here (can't remember who, sorry!).

This morning I could barely open any of the doors up as water had gathered just above the door seals and had frozen solid. All four of them I hasten to add. What a crock of s***!(n)

Not best pleased with that, not to mention the fact the boot is playing up more and more frequently. It'll still work OK every now and then when you press the top button on the remote, but mostly I have to pop it up using the bottom button.

My Doblo is the same. Sometimes I forget and try opening one of the sliding doors: nothing, but I know that when it thaws the door open light will come on and the door will break loose, then I'll have to get out and close it properly. Once I couldn't get in at all and had to pour warm water over the doors, great fun when you're in a hurry and it's cold. And I still have a slightly dented door from once in my frustration having pulled too hard on the handle!

I'd thought this was just a Doblo thing.

I have siliconed and even vaselined it, and this helps, but sometimes the ice just seems to defeat the thing.

What other cars do this, anybody know, it's damned annoying?
