We saw our first new 2012 Panda on the road on Friday afternoon last week, in white as well, nice looking car on the road... (y)

I was speaking to a dealer down in Central Scotland three weeks ago and he tipped us off that the 4x4 might appear in July according to his insider "dealer grapevine". I'm taking it with pinch of salt, but he seamed quite confident he was right...

The latest in the Italian press is that the new-model 4x4 will start appearing there late in the year so don't hold your breath.

The OH was talking of me buying her the new panda (!!! Her 'old' panda is only a baby). When I saw the ad, I couldn't believe they had actually stuck some reversing sensors on it - FFS, it's one of the shortest cars on the planet & those sensors only work down to about 12" - so you need to find a space that's almost half as long again as the car? If you struggle to drop a panda into a small parking space, you really shouldn't be driving.

Nice motor though.

I brought my new Panda home last Friday, he's adorable :D He's the Easy version in turquoise so a bit different to the yellow Active Eco that I had previously, I wonder if he'll be as easy to spot in the car park!

I can't release the third rear seatbelt either, so I figured that maybe it's not meant to be released, but I don't know that for sure

Nice to hear there's another turquoise one!(y)

I'm not sure if I've understood correctly or not - what exactly is the issue with the third seat belt? If you could clarify that would be great, will be something for me to look out for when we pick ours up.

 Apologies, I'm sure no-one else is as dumb as me, but I couldn't figure out how to release the third rear seatbelt, then driving home today I thought that of course it's meant to be released, otherwise how would you fold the seat forward? I've kind of forgiven myself for being a fool because it's not exactly obvious, but on the rear of the plastic housing (at the bottom near the seat) there is a red slot - if you plug the metal end (that you would normally pull across and plug in to the left of you) into this slot, the top plug pops out and you can retract the seatbelt and put it in it's housing in the roof. Hope that makes sense, I know what I mean :ROFLMAO:Anyway, I love my new car (I had the Active Eco before and I loved that, but my new one is )Other things I'm pleased about is that the indicator stick seems to stay put and doesn't cancel itself out mid-manoeuvre and the radio turns off when the ignition is turned off. I am one very happy new owner :D

... the radio turns off when the ignition is turned off...

Good to read positive comments about the new model - on the outgoing one you can select whether the radio goes on or off with the ignition or stays on for a number of minutes - which you can also set - I imagine the new one's the same.
