Hi all,

Trying to change the oil today, and I cant budge the sump plug at all :bang:

Ive got the right socket thingy, but I just cant make it move - although I am a bit worried that I may be turning it the wrong way...

Any suggestions?

with a breaker bar you dont need to.can gradually increase the torque.
keeps the socket(well allen) straight so less slippage so saves skinned knuckles or damged nuts/bolt heads
also saves wear on ratchet mechanisms as you dont put high torque through them

If you are worried about the direction set a ratchet first to loosten so you know the direction you should be push/pulling in before useing the big bar.

Not recommended but I used feet on mine...:devil:

i just get a metal tube and pop it over the socket handle to increase leverage.

Still couldnt get it to move though, so I'm on the hunt for a metal pipe now.....

It'll have to make do with its old oil for another week!

just having the correct size 'allen' thingy is a major though, as some **** used whatever he could get his hands on with 'ody' and rounded it out -nightmare !
