First of all, I apologize for my bad English.

Day before yesterday my wife and I purchased our first Panda 2002. 1.1l MPI.

Unlike my better half, I am totaly thrilled to own this little gem, since I've been watching over for it for some years now.
Anyway, in last 5-6 months now, Panda's are #1 hit here in Serbia, due to rellatively small costness and young age of this car that Italian postal and other public services are getting rid off (those silly people). Prices vary depending of age and overall condition of the cars, ours has been purchased for EUR2400 + registration fees approximately EUR130. One has to be aware that prices of foreign cars are ridiculously high here, so Panda has established her self as an obvious choice for used simple, small city car (Yugo is no option anytime, anywhere).

So, after watching over this forum for some time, I thought, as a brand new Panda owner i should come here and say hello and keep up the good work, Pandisti!

Best regards,

Branislav.

it's a pity they don't have better heaters

2002... very nice.
we can only imagine what that must be like... electric windows and everything :)

Actualy not. My guess is, since these were in public service, they left it with strictly basic equipment. Even so, it could happen that Your pandas have more blings than one displayed in my first post.
But that doesn't matter. Pure Spartan, that's thay way I like it.
It just came from a test drive through Belgrade traffic, which by the way, is far from naive. Runs like a charm, beats everything on 4 wheels and is absolutely fun to drive! I'm in love...

Wasn't trying to exagarate last time, "almoust everything" should have been the right text input, since there were one M3 BMW and one Honda model I couldn't recognize, but then again, they were posibly hot- headed kids driving too fast, too risky...

Few more pictures...

One more, and this mileage shouldn't be too far from the truth, since friend of mine, who knows few things, tells me that overall condition of the car approx. fits these numbers. Remember, it's kilometers...

very nice and hello and welcome, by the way what does the cityvan mean?

My guess is that she looked like this, You have probably seen it before:

Forgot to say this- they come to Serbia without any seats but driver's, and just behind it there is/was sort of barrier- for cargo space...

Anyway, since this one was supposed to be my wife's car, and like I said, I needed just few rides to fall in love in it, I started looking for some older Pandas I could have fun fixing and repairing to optimum state, but there aren't any or priced 900+ Euros for realy bad conditioned ones from year 1989! :bang:

Hello Kuntalo.
Your car is a Cityvan with front seats only and the load space barrier, that is as it was built. It would not have had the rear extention as on the pictured blue vehicle, which is a Pandavan.

May I please ask, what is the engine in your Cityvan?
Rgds.

1.1 MPI, same one as in Punto mk1 and Panda Nuova, I guess.

Hello Kuntalo.
I think you will find that the 1.1 MPI engine in your Cityvan is the same one used in the 1.1 MPI Siecento, though close enough to the Mk2 Punto for all practical purposes.
Rgds.
