well i know it goes onto the fire block fine.
its got a hydro clutch though. but injection panda might have this ??
the gear linkage is different. but a scrap uno would do fine.

Gearbox from 93 Uno will be a 514, gearbox on later Panda's is the 526. Both having the FIRE type engine, the Uno box would fit a Panda engine but there is no guarantee that the cable linkages will be interchangeable. The 514 box also used a specific clutch kit so no guarantees there either.

Also, the 514 used an hydraulic clutch, so the gearbox end is set up for a slave cylinder rather than a cable. Did the late Panda's use hydraulic or a cable?

Sorry if I am raining on anyone's parade.

arr well, now we know..
lets hope some one from the uno forum will use it.

I suspect that the hydraulic clutch type gearbox from a mk2 Uno is the Punto/ Tipo derived gearbox? If a picture can be shown of it, it can be compared with a later Panda 'box. You might well find that the clutch lever can be swapped over in place of the hydraulic clutch cylinder, as can some of the selector rods. Worth a look I suppose?

The gearbox is no good to me I'm afraid as A: I'm miles away and B: my Uno uses the earlier (non Tipo/ Punto) cable clutch gearbox.

Hope it goes to a good home nonetheless!

looking at it, it does look as if it could be swapped to cable driven, and the selector rods too.

thought some of you might like to see this FIRE engine in bits...
i think everything is there except the inlet manifold / carb airbox.
